ASTR FINALS QUESTIONS
Do I have to be an ASTR Member to come to Finals?
We do not have ASTR memberships. Everyone with a current WSTR/USTRC/KeyCard is eligible to rope and if you do not have a current card, then you can purchase one from us at the finals.
I have never been to an ASTR event.... Can I come to the finals?
Although there are many perks to coming to our qualifiers, it is not required for you to come to an ASTR Qualifier to be eligible. Everyone with a current WSTR/USTRC/KeyCard is eligible to rope and if you do not have a current card, then you can purchase one from us at the finals.
Is everything pre-enter or enter on site?
Preliminary Divisions(Open,15,13,12,11,10,9,8,40+), WSTR Divisions(14,13,12,11,10,9,8), Speciality Divisions(Open Shootout, Ladies Open, Jr Shootout) are all Enter on Site.
Shootout Divisions(15,13,12,11,10,9,9,40+) are pre entry as well as on site entry. If you choose to pay your spot at our season qualifiers upon winning then it is $400/roper. If you decide to wait and pay later, then enter on our website or mail in your shootout entry for $500/roper. And if you decide to enter on site at the finals with CASH or CC only, then it is $600/Roper.
What if I do not have a partner yet?
You are welcome to enter your part and mark your partner as TBA. It would be in your best interest to get your shootout entries turned in before the deadline to lock in your discounted entry.
How do I qualify for the added money shootouts?
You must have a Golden Ticket to enter the Added Money Shootouts. Here is how you can attain a golden ticket....
- Everyone with a current WSTR/USTRC/KeyCard get (1) Golden Ticket.
- Everyone that comes to a regular season qualifier get (1) Golden Ticket.
- Top 5 in Avg. at regular qualifiers and Top 10 at super get (1) Golden Ticket
- Top 20 in Preliminary Divisions get (1) Golden Ticket.
Golden Ticket Info:
- It only takes 1 Golden Ticket per team to enter a shootout.
- Golden Tickets are transferable.
Examples:
- If you and your partner both have a current WSTR/USTRC/KeyCard then you could rope in (2) different shootouts using each other's (1) Golden Ticket.
- If you have a friend that has extra golden tickets they are not using, then they can give them to you and you can use them to enter the shootout of your choice.
- If you have a current WSTR/USTRC/KeyCard and come to Ada, OK July 18-19th, you will have (2) Golden Tickets to enter the shootouts of your choice.
